ABOUT
I'm Dr. Niama T. Malachi, a Consulting and Community Psychologist, author, speaker, and the CEO of The Social Consult. I help people and organizations reimagine success as something both powerful and humane.

A former teen mom who earned her doctorate while raising her daughter, I know what it means to rise when the odds say you won’t. That lived experience is the foundation of everything I do, from coaching C-suite leaders to facilitating conversations that shift culture, to writing books that help women take their power back.

MY WORK:

With certifications in Change Management, Organizational Leadership (Northwestern), and Positive Psychology (University of Pennsylvania), I’ve spent the past 15 years advising senior executives, Fortune 500 companies, 501c3s, and public agencies on how to lead with clarity, compassion, and results.

I've helped build leadership programs, reimagine DEI initiatives, and lead public health equity evaluations, including a statewide COVID-19 disparities initiative with the YMCA and the Illinois Department of Public Health.

I’ve also served as a Lecturer at Chicago State University, founded a nonprofit for youth leadership development, and co-chaired the award-winning State of Black Male and Female Relationships Conference.
MY FIRM:

The Social Consult is an executive coaching and people & culture consulting firm dedicated to the continuous growth and well-being of people, organizations, and communities. We serve government agencies, nonprofits, and Fortune 500 companies facing critical challenges from leadership gaps to cultural misalignment and help them build stronger teams, better systems, and more responsive workplaces.

Our approach is different by design. Unlike traditional consulting firms, we combine evidence-based strategy with holistic methods rooted in community psychology. We don’t just fix problems we help people lead through them. And we don’t treat organizations like machines, we treat them like ecosystems made up of real people, with real needs, capable of real transformation.

MY VOICE:
Whether I’m in a boardroom, on a stage, or virtual, I speak with humor, candor, and strategy, helping people reconnect with their purpose, set meaningful boundaries, and build lives they’re proud of. I’ve been honored by Beyoncé’s BeyGOOD Foundation, Goldman Sachs’ One Million Black Businesses, xoNecole, and Tycoon Magazine, but my greatest reward is hearing someone say: “Your love and support have carried me further than I have ever imagined".

MY PARTNERS:

"...Thanks for the love you have shown me all through my career. I would not have been able to come this far without your love and support. I want you to know that you're loved". - Anonymous

I work with women navigating major life transitions, whether they’re rebuilding after a crisis, launching something new, or stepping into leadership for the first time. Many are current or former young mothers, entrepreneurs, community leaders, or professionals who are redefining success on their own terms and in their own voice. I also partner with mission-driven organizations committed to uplifting and investing in the future of their communities. In addition, I collaborate with corporations that prioritize social responsibility, people-first cultures, and long-term transformation over quick fixes. Whether the work is internal (culture, leadership, equity) or external (community impact), I help connect values to action and strategy to soul.
